Benefiet HOPE Foundation & Tiro Ass. for Arts
In samenwerking met het Grote Midden Oosten Platform organiseert Branoul een bijzonder benefietevenement ten bate van de HOPE Foundation (Gaza) en de Tiro Association for Arts (Beiroet).
Het werk van schrijver Ahmed Masoud staat centraal en komt tot leven in theatrale lezingen van fragmenten uit twee van zijn verhalen:
Application 39 – een futuristische zwarte komedie over hoop en verbeelding in Gaza, en
The Shroudmaker – een indringend en donker-humoristisch portret van het dagelijks leven onder bezetting.
Daarnaast leest acteur Bob Schwarze uit het werk van Arabische schrijvers.
Het programma heeft zowel Nederlandse als Engelse onderdelen en is toegankelijk voor een breed publiek.
Samen hopen we betekenisvolle steun te bieden aan twee belangrijke culturele initiatieven:
HOPE Foundation (Gaza) biedt veilige en creatieve ruimtes voor kinderen en jongeren
Tiro Association for Arts (Beiroet) runt het Nationaal Theater van Libanon en biedt naast artistieke programmering ook onderdak aan ontheemde families
Kom langs voor een middag vol verhalen, reflectie en verbinding.
Tickets zijn verkrijgbaar vanaf €24,50. Omdat dit een benefiet is, is elke extra bijdrage zeer welkom; de volledige winst komt ten goede aan de genoemde initiatieven.
In collaboration with Het Grote Midden Oosten Platform Branoul hosts a special fundfaising event in support of the HOPE Foundation (Gaza) and Tiro Association for Arts (Beirut).
The work of writer Ahmed Masoud takes centre stage and comes to life in theatrical readings of excerpts from two of his works:
Application 39– a futuristic dark comedy about hope and imagination in Gaza, and
The Shroudmaker – a moving and darkly humorous portrait of everyday life under occupation.
In addition, actor Bob Schwarze will read work of Arab writers.
The programme features both Dutch and English elements and is accessible to a wide audience.
Together, we hope to raise meaningful support for two vital cultural initiatives:
- HOPE Foundation (Gaza): providing safe and creative spaces for children and young people
- Tiro Association for Arts (Beirut): running Lebanon’s National Theatre, offering both artistic programming and shelter to displaced families

Voorafgaand aan de voorstelling ontvangen we u graag in het café van het theater, waar u kunt genieten van een heerlijke maaltijd bereid door chef Jeroen van Loon.
Wisselend hoofdgerecht: € 22,50
(er is ook altijd een vegetarische variant, dit geeft u aan bij het reserveren)
Voor de maaltijd bent u welkom in ons café tussen 18.30 uur en 19.00 uur. Zo bent u altijd op tijd klaar met eten om naar de voorstelling te gaan.

geen deel uit van de programmering van Theater Branoul, maar betreft een verhuur door een extern gezelschap.
